BALTIMORE GOLF ACADEMY Junior Leadership Event

 Join some of the brightest young minds in the Baltimore area for a 3 day program at beautiful Pine Ridge Golf Course.

Monday-Wednesday July 18, 19, 20 5-8PM

We’ll explore the challenges our future leaders will be facing as they navigate high school and help them develop valuable skills they can use to deal with these challenges throughout the rest of their lives. This seminar is geared towards Junior High School Golfers who are interested in becoming junior coaches, team captains and leaders in their various endeavors.

Topics Covered:

  • Integrity, Resilience, Work Ethic-Three pillars of success.

  • Dreaming vs. Planning —How one fuels the other and how basic skills of daily planning can help you fulfill your potential.

  • Adaptability-What are the big changes on the horizon and how will leaders/golfers deal with them?

  • Teamwork-Maintaining your unique identity while becoming one with a group.

  • Stress-Identifying stress and how to manage it. Learn coping responses you can use on the course, classroom and in everyday situations.

  • Leadership through Coaching-Learn some of the most important aspects of being a successful coach/leader.

Evan Cocke, Personal Trainer and former PGA Member

In the event of inclement weather, we will meet inside the clubhouse at Pine Ridge for presentations, dinner and discussion.

5:00-6:00 BGA Practice Area

Dr.Alex Tice will join us to share what is going on inside our bodies and minds when we feel stress and give us techniques with how to deal with pressure on the course, in the classroom and in everyday situations.

6:00-6:45. Clubhouse for Dinner. Dr. Tice will join us for dinner to continue the discussion.

6:45-8:00. 5 holes on the course. 4 person scramble format.

Tuesday, July 19

Arrive 4:45 for check in at the BGA Area

5:00-6:00 BGA Practice Area

Evan Cocke, Personal Trainer and former PGA Member who is also a Long drive expert will discuss what it takes to achieve your potential in all phases of your development.

6:00-6:45 Clubhouse for Dinner, Discussion
Evan will join us for dinner and discuss playing golf at the collegiate level, his decision to change from a PGA Professional to becoming a personal trainer and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.

6:45-8:00 5 holes on course 2 person scramble format

Wednesday, July 20

Arrive 4:45 for check in at the Clubhouse

5:00-6:00 BGA Area

Drew Forrester, Coach Calvert Hall HS will discuss what makes for great team leaders and captains and what it takes to be a top player in any sport.

6:00-6:45 Clubhouse

Coach Forrester will join us for dinner and continue the discussion.

6:45-8:00. 5 holes on the course. 2 person alternate shot.
